Sort lines utility

This online tool sorts lines of text using different methods. Paste a list with one item per line and instantly get a sorted result.

Four sort modes are available:

• Alphabetical: sorts lines in dictionary order (A–Z). Enable "Ignore case" to treat uppercase and lowercase letters equally.
• Numeric: extracts the leading number from each line and sorts by its value. Lines without a leading number are placed at the end.
• By length: sorts lines from shortest to longest character count.
• Reverse order: check the "Reverse" option to flip the direction of any mode (Z–A, largest first, longest first).

Common use cases:

• Organizing lists: alphabetize names, to-do items, or inventory lists.
• Data cleanup: sort CSV columns, log entries, or exported data before analysis.
• Programming: sort imports, configuration keys, or constant definitions.
• Writing: arrange references, glossaries, or keyword lists in order.
